MEET OUR PASTOR
Overseer Dr. Tony D. Peoples is a native of Tuskegee, Alabama. He is married to Elder Demetra Peoples. They have two beautiful children, Brooke, and Kyle. After graduating from Tuskegee Institute High School, Dr. Peoples received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Alabama State University with a major in Radio/Television Communications. He also received his Masters of Science Degree from Troy University with a major in Human Resource Management, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Florida. Overseer Peoples holds a Masters of Theological Studies degree from Regent University School of Divinity. His matriculation also includes Montgomery Bible Institute and Birmingham Theological Seminary. Dr. Peoples is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
In 2001, after spending nearly 15 years in professional sales and marketing, Dr. Peoples was led by the Spirit of God to start a new ministry. He was given the mandate by God to start a ministry that would meet the holistic needs of God’s people and operate with 5-star excellence. This ministry became Greater Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church until 2005 when the name was changed to Love Center Full Gospel Baptist Church.
In October 2020, God entrusted Dr. Peoples with overseeing a second church, the Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Wetumpka Alabama. He was officially installed as the Senior Pastor of the Good Hope Church in May of 2021.
Dr. Peoples was licensed and ordained at the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the distinguished leadership of the Rev. Dr. Walter E. Ellis. For nearly 17 years, he served in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr and held several positions including Gulf South District Overseer of Alabama. On February 18th, 2018 he was installed as the Alabama State Leader for Global United Fellowship under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Neil C. Ellis. This assignment would entail the oversight for nearly 20 churches in Alabama. Shortly afterward, Dr. Peoples would be appointed by Bishop Effell Williams Sr. as his First Assistant for the South-Central Province covering Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Overseer Peoples is a widely sought-after preacher with a very prophetic voice for this season. His down-to-earth approach, and his solemn passion and desire to lead people to Christ continues to make him a dangerous threat to the enemy.
MEET OUR FIRST LADY
Lady Demetra S. Peoples resides in Montgomery, Alabama. She is married to Dr. Tony D. Peoples, Senior Pastor & Founder of Love Center Full Gospel Baptist Church. They have two beautiful children, Brooke & Kyle. After graduating from Opelika high school, she attended Clark-Atlanta University.
She obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work from Auburn University and holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of New England. She is a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, she has serves as chaplain for Montgomery Head Start, she has served as a volunteer for the community care network and she has served as a member of the Children Policy Council for Montgomery, Macon, Chilton, Autauga & Elmore Counties. Lady Demetra has no doubt given her life to making our society a better place.
Lady Demetra is a worshiper, an intercessor. She is a giver and she has an amazing passion for helping and empowering people. Lady Demetra is a licensed Social Worker and is currently employed by the Alabama Department of Public Health. Serving in too many capacities to name, Lady Demetra has been an immeasurable resource for state government for nearly 25 years.
